Whenever you make a booking through the API, this triggers an automated request to the hotel via email. At the moment, most hotels prefer working via automated email requests and responses, but we will expand on this with further optionality in the future.

Sometimes for hotels and bookings where it makes sense to the hotel, we send a booking request via email. There are many hotels that prefer this approach as it helps them avoid extra fees from their PMS (Property Management System) or CM (Channel Manager) provider.
